Caetano and Anthony

I met up with Caetano and Anthony, ages six and four, respectively, and their parents down at the Boston Public Gardens on a recent gray November Sunday afternoon, one of the last mild days of the year, I dare say. These boys - the whole family - were a delight to photograph and spend time with. The Gardens, with its open shade, diverse backgrounds, and many opportunities for running and exploring and entertaining the young ones (especially the bronze Make Way for Ducklings statues) is among my favorite Boston area locations to photograph families and children. I know that everyone is after at least one classic, smile-for-the-camera pose, but my favorite photos are of the interactions that go on between brothers and sisters, parents and children, and of children simply enjoying themselves.
