The Best of Both Worlds

Pro-Rata
The skating was superb at Larz Anderson today. A few more skating sessions and I'll have whittled the cost of my new skates down to almost nothing (okay, more like forty or fifty more sessions - but they are awesome skates).
I managed to grab a few images with the phone, one of which I share here.

Trees, Redux
These are the companion photos to the Droidography tree photos I posted yesterday from my phone. I'm intrigued by the capabilities of my smartphone, including being able to blog directly, on-site, from the phone, but nothing beats the images from the 5D. The light wasn't exactly what I was hoping for - a little murky - but I had a good time wandering the hill at Larz Anderson with Pandora Radio - slightly mystical Irish trad, including Loreena McKennit - being piped in via my phone. What a time we live in: a phone that plays music, and with which I can take (and edit) photos and post to Blogger and G+. Oh, and I can also use it to make calls, but who's got time to talk to anyone anymore?

Happy Birthday to the Trees
I love trees in the winter; naked, with souls bared

More Droidographry
One more from yesterday, since I'm unable to add a photo to the original post, at least via phone.

Vineyard Haven Harbor
Messing around with a little Droidography while leaving Vineyard Haven on the 5 o'clock Island Home.
The fun thing is, no matter which direction I'm heading, I'm on my way home.
A beautiful day, a beautiful evening - and look how light it is: spring is racing towards us - too quickly in my opinion; I've barely settled in to my winter's nap.
When I was younger I didn't appreciate the dark months; now, I savor them.
